Welcome to Seabird
An exhibition at the Grey Lighthouse, where you can get closer to the birds of the open sea.
The exhibition is rooted in the unique setting of Skagen – Denmark’s northernmost point and an internationally recognized hotspot for bird migration. Here, where the Kattegat and Skagerrak meet, the landscape forms a natural bottleneck that attracts thousands of migrating birds every year – as well as birdwatchers from around the world.
Skagen’s unique location makes it one of the very best places in Denmark to experience bird migration. Every day, both experienced ornithologists and curious visitors gather to follow the birds’ journeys to and from their breeding and feeding grounds.
Experience a vibrant and sensory exhibition about the birds of the open sea.
SEABIRD unfolds the world of seabirds at the intersection of nature and culture through a playful approach that engages both children and adults. Skagen has always been a meeting place: for migrating birds and for people traveling to and from across the sea. The exhibition invites you out onto the sea—to a place where you can experience the connection between human journeys and the endless movements of seabirds.
Seabird is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00 and is included in the admission ticket to the Grey Lighthouse.
